He is an Executive Committee Member of the International Association for the Advancement of Teaching and Research in Intellectual Property (ATRIP), based in Zurich, Switzerland. He has also been a member of the Committee of the Science and Society Area of the Ibero-American Program for Science, Technology and Development (CYTED), based in Madrid, Spain. At Tecnologico de Monterrey he is the National Chair of the Strategic Research Group of Law and Access to Justice.
